SOD INSTALLATION

Tired of unwanted weeds making your lawn look bad? We can help you make your lawn healthy and look beautiful again!

If you are looking to get a beautiful, lush, and green lawn in no time, sod installation is the way to go. At C & A Landscaping Company, we can help you transform your lawn. Either if you are looking to replace your existing lawn or you need a new sod installation for a brand new yard, we can help.

HOW  DOES IT WORK?

We will visit your property at no cost, to inspect important key factors for a successful sod installation, such as existing soil conditions, watering system, and  to understand your lawn's strengths and weaknesses to customize the best plan to complete your sod installation project.

# 1  MEASURE THE AREA

It's very important to determine the right square footage of the area. This way, we can order the right amount of material and avoid unnecessary expenses.

# 2 REMOVE OLD GRASS

We will remove the existing grass to prepare the area for the new sod installation. This part of the project may require the use of heavy equipment such as sod cutter machine or weed killer application to the existing lawn, to minimize the risk of weed infestation on the new sod.

# 3  SOIL PREPARATION AND GRADING

Proper site preparation before any planting takes place is important for the new grass roots to penetrate deeply in the soil. Deep roots help lawns to be more drought resistant, more efficient nutrients and water user, and will make the roots of your new lawn more dense. This will help maintain your lawn in healthy conditions, since dense lawn crowds out weeds and better resists insects and disease.

# 4  LAYING YOUR NEW LAWN

Once the area is ready and nicely graded, it is time to install the new sod and give your property that amazing green look.

# 5 WATERING, FERTILIZER, AND MOWING

Thoroughly watering your new lawn is very important during installation. Soak  upon installation and water, there after,  as needed to keep the grass from drying out. But, be very careful because over watering can damage the turf, including diseases and rotten roots. New sod usually takes from 7 - 10 days to establish during the active growing season. Proper maintenance is crucial after installation of a new lawn. However, it needs to be mowed 7 - 10 days after installation with a light weight mower, equipped with a well -sharpened blade. Refrain from walking across the new lawn after the new installation. Providing balanced nutrients to a new sod is also critical after installation for the best final results.
